Notice how Trump candidly reveals… “Never let anyone know exactly where you’re coming from.”
Now, this doesn’t mean everything you do must be covert... and it definitely doesn’t mean lying.
Transparency is one of my highest values.
And transparency can be incredibly persuasive.
I teach beginner copywriters to be blatantly transparent when approaching prospects with an approach like this:
“Because I’m brand new, I’m going to work harder for you than anyone else you can hire. I have to make sure you get exceptional results because my future career depends on it.”
Boldly turning your weakness into a strength is a powerful technique in persuasion.
But while transparency can be a strength...
Not everything should be revealed.
Imagine you’re about to see a new movie…
...and then a friend reveals the ending.
Wouldn’t you be pissed off they “ruined the movie”?
We not only need to keep some things a secret…
...people actually love it when you don’t reveal too much.
The Dark Arts are the secret things Trump does that not even the media catches onto.
And that’s what makes this so powerful.
